Title:  Construction Defect Sr. Claims Specialist

The Role will require an ability to demonstrate a high level of quality client support  and investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of complex commercial casualty claims, with the assistance of external service providers where appropriate. 

• In complex claims, represent the company and clients effectively by participating in, or leading litigation teams where necessary.

• Independently resolve significant exposure claims on favorable terms.

• Effectively control the use, costs and work product of outside counsel and other external service providers.

• Analysis of policy coverages on standard and manuscript forms, independently identifying and evaluating coverage issues, and where necessary preparing coverage position letters.

• Operate within designated monetary authority for reserves, case disposition, and payments. 

• Prepare timely and accurate reports for management on large losses; keep management informed of issues, problems, and progress on severe claims.

• Regular mediation or informal negotiation of claims interaction, with focus on timely follow-up both written and verbal.

• Construction Defect, Construction liability experience required
